Conceptual study and oil analysis for Prirazlomnoe oil field
EuroTech has completed a conceptual study to determine the optimum location and processing scheme for a new refinery based on feedstock from the Prirazlomnoe oil field. The scope of the evaluation included transportation, market analysis, processing scheme, infrastructure requirements and environmental and safety considerations. An economic analysis was performed to determine the location of the refinery and the processing configuration which it is to incorporate.
EuroTech arranged for the detailed analysis of a high sulphur crude oil to be produced from Prirazlomnoe oil field located in the Barents Sea. Marketing analyses and technical and economic evaluations were then carried out to determine the feasibility and economic effectiveness of selling and refining this crude oil. Discussions took place with the major refiners of north-west Europe, including BP, Shell, Total, Esso, Mobil, Neste to determine the possibility of processing the crude oil from the Prirazlomnoe oil field at their refineries. EuroTech also provided ZAO Rosshelf with a long term forecast of the price of the crude oil.
